Recital Io Ti Sento Amore
It is well known that recitals of singers are often accompanied by a piano or a chamber ensemble (if not a full orchestra), in order to "support" the singer with all the harmonics.
Instead, this recital opens the door to a very innovative and disruptive concept: a soprano voice accompanied by a solo cello. A great challenge for an impressive result, where the voice is not only 'accompanied' but becomes an instrument itself, playing in duet with the cello.
The concert will open with music composed specifically for this purpose: the songs of John Tavener based on the poetry of Anna Akhmatova. An American composer with a Russian poetess, a masterpiece that also tells us a lot about how art brings people and different cultures together.
Other popular pieces will follow, arranged for soprano and solo cello by Maestro Stéphane Decor. Among others, the beautiful song composed by Niccolò Paganini which gives the name to this concert.
