The music hall of the Stadtcasino Basel enjoys an international reputation for its excellent acoustics. The hall was opened in 1876 for over 1400 people. Musicians and listeners benefit from a brilliant sound image with a homogeneous fusion of tones. The hall thus gives visitors the inimitable feeling of a concert wrapped in sound.

MÜLLER-BBM was responsible for the acoustics of the entire renovation. The historical structure of the building was to be preserved as much as possible. However, many elements had to be newly integrated, such as the complete hall floor, the hall seating and a mobile podium for the orchestra. High-quality windows were installed in the historic openings in the facade so that daylight could once again penetrate the interior and all traffic noise was kept out. A new ventilation and air-conditioning system ensures very quiet comfort.
